7 Bollywood Celebrities With Criminal Charges
Bollywood has given us a lot of star celebs who have imprinted their names in the golden books of Indian cinema by their acting skills and multi talents. One more thing Bollywood is famous for is the controversy. It is always said that "With fame comes responsibilities". A lot of actors doing great in their acting areas have failed to follow the responsibilities towards the society and the Indian Law. There are few actors who have been dealing with crimes, resulting into having criminal records. Their lives are an open book to the commoners. Hence the intensity of the crime might be low or high, but it appears to be the biggest crime to the public. Here are some celebrities facing criminal charges and the reasons.
1. The Dabbang Khan, Mr. Salman Khan.
The Dabbang Khan, Salman is the King of hearts. He is known for his acting and his public help brand, Being Human. But apart from all his good deeds and his helping hand to millions of people, Mr Dabbang has faced a dark side in his journey of life. He has been charged with several criminal cases, which are as follows: Case No 1: He was arrested for rash driving in the year 2002. His car rammed onto a pavement in Mumbai killing a pavement dweller in Mumbai city and harmed three individuals. Case No 2: Salman again came into limelight for hunting the black buck, an endangered species with several other actors in the year 2006. And he was sentenced to jail.
2. Munna Bhai, Mr. Sanjay Dutt.
Mr. Sanjay Dutt is the finest actor in our film industry. He is famous for his roles like Khalnayak, Munna Bhai, etc. He is also a politician. But even he is going through some criminal charges, which are: Case No 1: Sanjay Dutt was caught with illegal drugs. He was jailed for five months, and later moved to Texas rehab clinic, the US for quitting this addiction in the year 1982. Case No 2: He was charged for the Bombay bomb blasts for possession of illegal weapons and arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) in the year 1993.
3. Monica Bedi.
Monica Bedi knew more as a girlfriend of the underworld don Abu Salem is now a television actress. Gained fame from Big Boss season 2. She was also charged with several cases such as. Case No 1: She was arrested for possessing forged travel documents by Portuguese Police and was sentenced to two years in custody in the year 2003. Case No 2: Monica was found guilty by the Special Court of CBI for criminal planning and a fake passport, which sentenced her to jail for five years in the year 2006.
4. Fardeen Khan.
Fardeen Khan was caught buying 9 gm of cocaine from Naseer Abdul Kareem Khan by Mumbai Police in the year 2000. They were both arrested.
5. Shiney Ahuja.
Shiney Ahuja is best known for his movie Gangster. He was charged with sexual misconduct with his domestic maid in the year 2009. He never accepted his crime, but according to DNA report it has been proven that Shiney had raped his 18-year-old girl.
6. Saif Ali Khan, The Nawab of Pataudi.
Padmashri Saif Ali Khan, the Nawab of Pataudi, is a famous Bollywood film actor and producer. Even he was unable to save himself from crimes. Case No 1: He was involved with Salman in the Black Buck and Chinkara hunting case during the shooting of Bollywood movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in the year 2006. Case No 2: He was charged with assault by a South African business person who lodged a complaint against him. According to him, Saif broke his nose during a fight.
7. Sooraj Pancholi.
Sooraj Pancholi, son of Mr. Aditya Pancholi and the most recent actor with just one movie released, has a criminal record. He was arrested for encouraging his girlfriend Jiah Khan to commit suicide. She was found dead in her apartment on June 3rd, 2013. Sooraj had to spend few days in jail before he was bailed.
