Story of 'Drishyam'
Vijay Salgaonkar runs a cable TV network in a remote and hilly village of Goa. He lives a happy life with his wife Nandini and two daughters. In a bizarre turn of events, a teenage boy goes missing. He is the son of a headstrong & no-nonsense cop IG Meera Deshmukh. The Salgaonkar family is the prime suspect.
Will a middle class man be able to protect his family from oppression of the powerful? How the family weathers the storm that ensues during the violent investigation forms the rest of the story leading to an unexpected and shocking climax.

The film is a remake of Malayalam hit 'Drishyam'.

"The film is about human emotions. There is a conflict between Tabu and me and this conflict is what holds the plot of the film," Ajay Devgn told IANS.

“It’s a nice, strong and powerful story. He (Nishikant) is an easy going person. It was a great experience. The film has Vishalji’s (Vishal Bharadwaj) music,” said Tabu.

In an interview with PTI, Shriya Saran said: “It is a well written script… It’s a wonderful film. The film is gripping and one would love that. I did this film because I wanted to work with Ajay Devgn. I have always been a big fan of his and he is a wonderful actor. Nishant (Kamat) is a wonderful director and I always wanted to work with these people.”
