After the Uttarakhand glacier burst, there’s an army of people on the fields standing on their feet for long hours trying to save precious lives from the flash floods. During this tough time, the Indian armed forces are doing their best to make sure no one sleeps hungry and are making every possible effort to save lives while searching for those still missing in an underground tunnel in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. Here are the men in uniform making us proud yet again.
ITBP with local officials supplies ration to a village near Indo-China border after floods disconnected the area from parts of the state.
The border force began air-dropping food packets on Monday in at least nine villages that have been cut off due to the floods.
"Managing with what we have and govt supplied ration. Not sure how we will sustain in the long run. This is the last village," says a local.
